Terms of service

1. Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account or using Foracle, you agree to these Terms of Service and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 16 years old and legally permitted to use the service where you live. If local law requires permission from a parent or guardian, you must have that permission.

2. What Foracle provides

Foracle is a general wellness and meal-logging service. It can calculate an estimated calorie target from profile information, analyze a meal photo when requested, estimate food-item nutrition, and organize user-entered meal information.

Nutrition, portion, calorie, and macro estimates are approximate and user-editable. Results can vary based on image quality, ingredients, preparation, serving size, and information available to the service. Foracle does not guarantee weight loss, weight gain, fitness results, or any other health outcome.

3. Health and medical disclaimer

Foracle is not a substitute for professional medical care. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and before making significant diet, exercise, or health decisions. Do not use Foracle for emergencies or to manage a medical condition without professional guidance.

4. Your account and content

You are responsible for providing accurate information, reviewing estimates, maintaining the security of your sign-in method, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized use. You remain responsible for the meal information, photos, and other content you submit.

You give Foracle permission to process your submitted content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and support the service as described in the Privacy Policy. You must have the right to submit that content.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use Foracle unlawfully or to harm, threaten, or impersonate another person;
• submit content that infringes another person's rights;
• attempt to bypass authentication, quotas, subscription checks, or security controls;
• interfere with the service or use automated means that place unreasonable load on it; or
• reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

6. Analysis limits

Free accounts receive up to 3 photo analyses per UTC day. Premium accounts receive up to 30 photo analyses per UTC day. Item estimates remain limited to 100 per UTC day. Premium increases the photo-analysis allowance; it does not provide unlimited analysis.

Requests may still fail because of image quality, connectivity, maintenance, safety controls, or provider availability. Quotas are service limits rather than a guarantee that every request will produce a result.

7. Premium subscriptions

The intended Premium plans are INR 99 per month and INR 699 per year. Both plans are auto-renewing, and neither includes a free trial. Purchases are charged through Google Play. The localized and final price, taxes, currency, billing period, and any required disclosures shown by Google Play at checkout control over price information shown elsewhere.

Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through Google Play before renewal. You can manage or cancel it from your Google Play subscriptions. An ordinary cancellation stops future renewal and leaves Premium access available until the end of the paid billing period.

Deleting your Foracle account or uninstalling the app does not cancel Google Play billing. Cancel the subscription separately through Google Play. Refunds are governed by Google Play policies and applicable law.

8. Service ownership

Foracle and its licensors retain rights in the application, service design, software, and related materials, excluding content that users submit. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Foracle while you comply with them.

9. Availability and changes

We may maintain, update, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of Foracle. We may also adjust features or quotas to protect service reliability, address abuse, comply with law, or reflect changes in provider capacity. When reasonably practical, material changes will be communicated through the service or an updated notice.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Foracle and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a serious or repeated breach of these terms, security risk, unlawful activity, or harm to the service or others. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination remain in effect.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Foracle is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Foracle will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

12. Applicable law and changes

These terms apply subject to mandatory consumer protections and other laws that apply to you. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

We may update these terms as Foracle changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Continuing to use the service after updated terms take effect means you accept them where permitted by law.
